Baba Yaga is an ancient witch in Slavic/Russian mythology. She is said to have a hut that dances on chicken legs, and she flies around in a mortar and pestal. She was known as a wise magical helper who guided hero's.
The locket is made from sterling silver, there is a loft window and opening wood effect door on the front, a calming amethyst window on the side and, of course, her mortar and pestal is round the back. There is a starry roof with 2 flowers of rose cut peridot and rhodite garnet. Approx 40mm x 23mm x13mm.
The chain is a very heavy sterling silver belcher chain, the hammered ring is centred at 24 inches, but it has an extender making it 28 inches too. It can be worn at any length less than 28 inches as the lobster catch can fasten anywhere on the chain. There is a tag sating 'Baba Yaga Hut' on the end of the chain.
